Encompass is a subsidiary of Allstate Insurance Company. They purchased it in 1999.

Its headquarters are in Chicago Illinois, and they only sell personal lines (home, auto, and umbrella).

Since their parent company is Allstate, the manner in which Encompass services their clients is similar if not identical to Allstate.
