Country Financial is now a group of insurance and financial companies headquartered in Bloomington Illinois.
Because insurance salesman rarely reached the back country roads, a group of Illinois farmers took it upon themselves to provide fire and lightening insurance to other farmers.
Thus in 1925 Country was established.
The following year they provided crop insurance, the year after they introduced auto insurance and two years later they incorporated life insurance.
They have since grown from a small operation that served Illinois only into a full service insurance and financial company available in more than 40 states.
In addition to auto and life insurance they provide homeowner and businesses insurance.
Country Financial was ranked 599 in the 2010 Fortune 1000 list.
They also recorded the lowest ratio of client complaints 2000-2010.
